Script Writing is My Life!

My name is Cliff McClelland, and I have written over twenty plays,
eleven screenplays, a novel, and various and sundry short stories in
my short forty-three years in and around Dallas, Texas.  My work
ranges from romantic comedy to crime drama, horror to historical
fiction, industrial videos and television pilots.  As for my professional

I'm excited to announce that the post-production work on my first
professional film, From the Dark, is now finished.  I wrote the script
last year and co-directed it with my good friend, Tom Zembrod
(Living and Dying), who was also one of the producers and actors.  
Another friend, Todd Jenkins (Veritas, Prince of Truth), produced
and edited the film, and horror guru Jon Keeyes (American
Nightmare, Fall Down Dead) was the third in the producer
triumvirate that gave life to this fun little horror flick.  Tom and Todd
put an incredible amount of time in crafting the edit, and they had
the opportunity to work with some awesome professionals both in
L.A. and Dallas to give the movie some great digital effects (Bryan
Whitaker, The Matrix Revolutions) and music (John Massari, Attack
of the Killer Klowns from Outer Space).  I would especially like to
thank Tommy Z, without whom this script would never have left the

I produced my original script, Open Mike Night, at the magnet high
school where I teach theatre in Richardson.  We used students for
almost every position, including DP, gaffer, editors, etc.  The
resulting movie is available now at Indieflix.com.

I recently sold an adaptation of Ray Sheers's play, For Whom The
Tinkerbell Tolls to Hook Productions.  We had a reading at KD
Studios in Dallas shortly afterwards, and the response was
incredibly positive.  Can't wait to see where that one goes.

My children's interactive haunted house, HalloWonderLand, was
published in April, 2005 by Playscripts, Inc., and received seven
performances in three different venues last year.  You can read a
